St. Cyril (and Methodius)
Feast Day: February 14
Saints Cyril and Methodius were brothers from Thessalonica who evangelized the Slavic peoples in the ninth century. Deeply devoted to spreading the Gospel, they are revered for their efforts in translating the Bible and liturgical texts into the Old Church Slavonic language. Their missionary zeal and dedication to making God's word accessible to all profoundly impacted the Christianization of Eastern Europe.
