St. Kateri Tekakwitha, Virgin
Feast Day: July 14
St. Kateri Tekakwitha, known as the "Lily of the Mohawks," was born in the 17th century to a Mohawk father and an Algonquin mother. After an illness left her with impaired eyesight, she embraced Christianity and dedicated her life to prayer and penance. Her profound devotion and gentle spirit inspired those around her, and she is venerated as a patroness of North America.
