St. Matthias

Feast Day: May 14

Saint Matthias was chosen by the apostles to take the place of Judas Iscariot, thus becoming one of the Twelve. He bore witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ and lived a life devoted to the Gospel. His faithfulness in proclaiming the faith ensured his inclusion in the foundational community of the early Church.
